What's coming up in March

Spring is not quite here, but as I started writing this post I thought to myself: "boy-howdy do we have a lot of events coming up this month" and it put a spring in my step.

🏛️ Civic Space is back

Civic Space was a hit and we're doing it again!

A coworking session with out friends from Civic Tech TO, we're once again opening our space to folks working on projects addressing civic challenges with technology.
We welcome participants from all backgrounds and skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned developer, a curious beginner, or someone passionate about civic issues, your unique perspective and contribution are valuable to our community.

🥘 Nowruz supperclub

Our friend Mary Freij is hosting a supper club at 1RG on Saturday March 22nd!

Join us Sat, March 22, for a feast celebrating the arrival of Spring with mouth watering dishes from the different regions in Iran. Nowruz marks the first day of spring and the beginning of the year in the Persian calendar. The word "Nowruz" itself translates to "new day." There will be a traditionnal Haft-seen, a traditional table setting for the Persian New Year and we will talk about what each item represents.

📖 Reading Club with Nora is back!

A long-time favourite event of mine, Nora is bringing back reading club.

Bring your own book (or pick one from our library) and join us for an evening of quiet reading and warm ambiance. Friends, as well as new additions for the 1RG library shelves, are welcome.
